Re: Taking the plunge

I forgot about the logistics of moving your baby too @Maggie. Another very big one there (I'd be super unsettled at that one with my lot too 🐱🐱🐱). Far out it's all full on over there this morning.

More than ever I am wishing I could teleport myself. I believe in you and your counsellor though and know you have it in you to get through all of this today, even through the mash of feelings and thoughts that it is.

Thinking about you lots, sending you the biggest ❀ and β˜• I can dig up virtually. And seriously looking forward to hearing about what you can and would like to share over a cuppa in your new place. Thankful for mobile data too πŸ˜ŠπŸ™‚β€

Re: Taking the plunge

Hi there @Maggie @CheerBear  and a wave to @outlander

Oh @Maggie ... such a big day for you!  As I read all your morning cinversations with @CheerBear  I kept thinking to myself "what will you do with little Maggs?". Thinking maybe leave her at old flat, where she is familiar, then you pick her up after apt. I was much relieved when you said counsellor would look after her.

Huge day with two major things happening together ... move and specialist. Both of which you have waited so long for.

Thinking of you.

Thinking of you here to @Maggie  and hoping all goes to plan today.  You've got this  πŸ’ͺβœ”

Re: Taking the plunge

Thoughts are with you today @Maggie. Big time.

Also, I'm off to the tribunal soon after hearing back from our house owners and the real estate. People who can need to take a stand I think and I can take a (very wonky and scared but supported) stand. Housing bullies - not OK at all πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ˜–πŸ˜:face_with_rolling_eyes:

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear  Just read about your BIG yesterday also. Wonky scared supposed stands are huge. Go girl. I’m hoping you are ok enough though. Big effort. πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ’•πŸ’•

@CheerBear @eth @Former-Member  It was lovely to log on and read your messages. It helps so much knowing there’s support here when times are out of our control.

Its over and everything was accomplished. 9am moving began. 9.45 I was signing out of complex, and van heading to new home. Dropped off at hospital by counsellor, who became dog sitter, 11 am picked up from hospital and all was unloaded. Had coffee and chocolate with counsellor in new home. Collapsed in heap.

Back to specialist in a few weeks once he has convinced himself of diagnosis and test results are back. So much in motion.

Dropping off a very early β˜•οΈβ˜•οΈπŸ’œπŸ’œβ˜•οΈβ˜•οΈ @CheerBear  And anyone who would like to join us. πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’œπŸ’œβ˜•οΈβ˜•οΈβ˜•οΈ

Re: Taking the plunge

Morning @Maggie and all

Hoping you are maybe sleeping Maggie, though imagining you probably won't be.

That is a massive day for you yesterday. Incredible how you managed to do all of that before midday. No wonder you collapsed in a heap.

How was it to wake/start the day in your new home this morning? How is furbaby settling in?

How are you feeling about the appointment too (did you feel heard, we're you able to ask/discuss your notes etc)?

Sorry for the bazillion questions. As always, no need to answer.

❀

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear  Good morning. Lying down here and there resting when I can atm.

The flat is sooooooo goooooood @CheerBear . Fur baby is looking out the window as we speak, from the bed. Perfect view. 🐢🐢

Hard to know about the app. He didn’t have the results from the nuclear medicine xrays. That was evidence of what going on in my body and where. I did go through my notes and was able to describe vividly my pain, as everything was out of 10 = 20. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

The tests yesterday will show what he needs to see. But I’m at least in progress there.

How did you meeting go yesterday, if you would like to share, gig day today, a good one for you I hope.

Re: Taking the plunge

So glad it's so good there @Maggie! Having fur baby looking out the window this morning and you having moved and being in there - It's a great thought to start the day 😊. Yesterday would have been so full on. More rest today? Do you have any cleaning or anything left to do for the other place?

That's a bit annoying that he didn't have the results in time for your appointment yesterday, though maybe it's kind of bought you time to be in a less busy headspace for when you do get the results and perhaps work out next steps. Will counsellor come to the next appointment?

I spent hours dealing with it yesterday, but all from home and over the phone. It's completely ridiculous given the very small amount of $ I am asking to have given back. When I saw the letter come through I had one of those gross anxiety hits, where the world spins, I start shaking and I feel like I'm going to be sick. It was a couple of pages and looked like it had been written by a lawyer. All about where I failed my responsibilities as a tenant (according to them). I called the tenancy lawyers and was given the advice to definitely not back down now, despite the intimidation. As a matter of principle I'll fight this. Then had a quick look at houses in the area as I'm sure we don't be here soon after what I read yesterday :face_with_rolling_eyes:. Lawyer putting through application for tribunal today but it will be a long wait to get there.

Yes gig day, thanks for remembering. Hoping it's a good one too πŸ™‚

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear  Those anxiety hits are awful. The sick yukky spinning feelings. So not right you have to go through this. It’s the same situation in previous flat, $500 is nothing to them, it’s intimidation and power, not to mention bloody greedy.

Yes, fight it @CheerBear , I will too.

It was strange yesterday handing over keys and signing off, manager was strangely silent, something is brewing I think there, but I won’t back down either, and they won’t like publicly. Not like the manager at all. I almost said, with a passing kick, see you in court, but held my tongue.πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

If you move @CheerBear  I hope it’s like my move. Somewhere safe and so much better. It will be hard though, no doubts there.πŸ’•πŸ’•

At least you have a good day to look forward to today with your gig. I hope unwell person is ok enough. Is it too hot for glitter?

@CheerBear  There’s an elderly lady being interviewed on tv atm, she has yellow boots on 😍😍😍😍

Re: Taking the plunge

Haha huge grin at elderly lady with yellow boots @Maggie! Funny you asking whether it's too hot. I check the weather to schedule in boot days 😝 I'm not sure about my twinkle toes today. I might throw everyone and go as blend-in-bear, I haven't decided yet.

That's unnerving with manager yesterday. The power, control and intimidation is just not OK. Fighting back and resisting can be a good feeling, though a risky tiring thing to do. I could have responded to their big, scary letter with some further justification for what I did, but instead I'll just serve them the 'see you in court' kind of document. :pile_of_poo:ing myself about the whole thing really. Serious red flag warning from family support worker about taking this on but at the end of the day I do kind of maybe have capacity to fight this and I believe I should. Moving is going to suck though keeping the end in sight and reminding myself that, like you are experiencing right now, it can be worth it.

Do you have much unpacking to do (perhaps a silly question there)? Hopefully you can take it slow-ish and enjoy the feeling (hopefully some proud in there maybe) of getting to today ❀
