Talk to the specialist?

Hi,

Let me start by saying I mean to cause no offense to anyone here on from my words. I don't like the stigma that can be around mental health.

I'm new here and well I thought I'd ask for opinions or help.

I have I dunno what kind of mental illness now. I'm going to see a psychiatrist and be diagnosed. It won't happen the first session will it. Does asking me questions answer with a diagnosis. Can it change a day later because my answers won't be the same.

Well my main thing I am worried I don't trust and I dont want to tell a psychiatrist "everything." "Important things" that would help to find out what mental illness I might have.

I was diagnosed when I was 7 (I'm now 31) with having ADHD boarding on the line of Bi Polar. I've gone through many traumatic experiences since I was 7 and I'm thinking now I have paranoid schizophrenia.

I want answers and help but I don't want to talk. As u can see here I am a talker...  so if I not give examples but say things happens like conversations with voices. That's talking right.

Hello @Ele092

You are welcome here, and I do hope you dont experience any more trauma or stigma re mental health.

Diagnosing is a medical thingy and we are encouraged to seek professional help, but underneath it all, we are just human beings. That is the way I prefer to see people regardless of colour, creed or labels.
