opinions please

I want to get some opinions on the following .............

Person A is over 35 years of age, married and has a child about 9 months old. He lives about 20 minutes drive from his Mother - who is independent and retired. Person A is a 'capable' person who drives everywhere by himself. Person A complains to Mother that the child makes too much noise and it is hard to concentrate. Person A keeps visiting Mother every few days

to do work - for a few hours in the afternoon - so Mother's house is like another office where Person A

can make business calls. Mother's house has one other individual adult living with her.

Person A had been a troublemaker and caused Mother a lot of stress over the years  as Person A is that type of

person who socialises with strange and dodgy people.

What do you think of Person A?  Is this sort of thing acceptable?

Opinions please.....

Re: opinions please

@jamesle2015. Should the question really be 'what do you think about person A? or maybe it should be, What do you think about Person A's mother or person A's partner?

This person obviously requires a quiet place and their home is not providing that at the moment. So they have found a place, mothers, where they can get some work done.

Does Mother not want him at her house so often? In which case, she needs to speak up.

Does the partner of person A, have a problem with him going to mums so often. In which  case, she needs to speak up.

Re: opinions please

Hi there @jamesle2015

I am a little confused as to what you are trying to recieve an opinion on what is acceptable as a lot of what you have written seems to be things that have happened in the past, what is the current issue? Is it that person A is going to the mothers house to make phonecalls and feels like they are causing stress?

Relationships are certainly not easy, and no one is perfect, so it is good to reflect on them.

There was a Topic Tuesday about 'Managing Relationships' that you might like to read through.

Like @utopia I am also wondering what your opinion is of person A, and perhaps how their other relationships and supports are going for them?

Lunar 🙂

Re: opinions please

I am asking :-

What do you think of Person A - is this acceptable behaviour or are there other options?

How would you feel if you were Person B ?  Person B is an adult child living at home...

Does this sound strange to you - how many 35 year olds go back to their parents house

so often - do you know of any cases?
