It is interesting that you talk about boundaries. I know I struggle with creating boundaries for myself, especially with the lengths I go to for my kids. I have found it hard to manage the fine line between being there to support and backing off to let them regulate and grow for themselves. I think I am the same with friends maybe, when it comes to boundaries. Never one to go anywhere near conflict, so not speaking up for my needs. Yet, it is straight forward honesty and also vulnerability that I want from others. So perhaps that is part of my issue. I'm not being true enough to myself and vulnerable enough to others to form deeper friendships. I'm saying that, it seems much easier to do in this supportive forum!
Does anyone else feel the same way? Does this make sense?
