Re: Life can be a Pain

Yep re Melbourne weather @Owlunar lol

had to wash the ice off the windscreen one early morning, mostly I don’t need to worry….

I am glad you spent time with your daughter and could speak some of your truth. Its important for both of you.

and yes, dealing with our own mother issue keeps recurring. Glad the carping has gone.

we know which professionals are helpful. Sadly a lot who aren’t, still get paid. Yes, there is a lot of WORK in looking at our ancestral and childhood wounds. Finding ways to honour ourselves and our needs amongst trauma and neglect is not easy. The counselling and psychological fields are pretty broad and I am not convinced enough of them have done sufficient work on themselves to justify the cost and size of the industry. Yet, if that’s the best we have, we have to make the best of it.

wry smile about your shoulder and coffee jar. I do the old whack on the metal of the sink to loosen my jars. I wonder what would happen if I had a serious obstacle to my morning coffee…lol…

really good to see your post.

Re: Life can be a Pain

It has been freezing nights and mornings here too @Owlunar @Appleblossom Frosts a couple of mornings also. Cold again tonight so the heater is up high. I really am not a fan of the cold which is kind of funny living in Tassie lol

So glad you have had some positive interactions again with your daughter @Owlunar ❤️

@Appleblossom I have been very lucky to have great psychs but did need to stop seeing one as I was being re-traumatised. It was not her fault - just was not in the headspace to deal with past trauma and was probably a blessing in disguise as soon as the decision was made to stop that therapy, I felt a weight lift.
