Re: checking in

Thanks for replying...that's interesting that they have lived experience, I didn't know that.

@NatureLover  It's kind of like lifeline, only during certain hours you can do phone calls or web chat, and anyone you talk to is trained and has lived mental health experience.

I was wondering what you'd decided to do about your doctor's appointment. Did it go badly?

@Lee

@NatureLover

Of course Iwould reply, would be rude not to.

Doctors appointment, I was given another medication to assist with sleep. We talked a lot the doctor and I.  For about an hour, I am having a booked assessment done.

But the thing is, she contacted the mental health team people,  but according to them things aren't bad enough yet for them to take it on. My doctor tried explaining.

So I said to her,  I pretty much have to make an attempt before its deemed serious enough, when if they helped me now it may not get to that point again.

It's frustrating,  and has actually made things worse.

Re: checking in

Lee, I am horrified that the mental health team don't think you are 'bad enough' to take on. No wonder you feel worse 😮

What about a referral to a psychiatrist, did the doctor mention anything about that?

The only good thing is that you've got another sleep med.

And that the doctor obviously cares about you and is concerned, that's good too. @Lee71

Yes It is terrible, makes me think I need to prove it.

As for the referral have to wait  until I hear from them .

You're right my doctor does seem to care, and she said more than once today she was concerned because of what I was saying. At least she take a me seriously .

Re: checking in

@NatureLoverI don't know if I have said it today, but i am really glad you're here,  I want to thank you again for your time and all your support.

Re: checking in

It's my pleasure to try and be here for you, Lee. Thank you for your thanks.

Thank you also for writing so much news above...

I am pretty worried for you. I'm also confused as to why the referral to a psychiatrist has to come from the mental health team? My GP referred me to a psychiatrist...

Im Not too sure why either, but i guess it just works that way.

If they don't call then so be it, I'm over it

OK, @Lee71

May I ask if you have attempted before? (No need to answer if you'd prefer not to)

Re: checking in

@NatureLover  of course, you can ask me anything.

Yes I have. Mabt times.

Re: checking in

Many times? I am so sorry to hear, Lee... 😞 @Lee71

I have attempted 3 times, all when I was much younger, before I was 22.
