Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here ๐Ÿ™‚

HI there @Lonewolf73 ,

Sorry to hear about the recent events. It sounds exhausting! Is there a way you can stay at her place or bring the pets to your place? The commute itself sounds incredible tiring, let alone the mental strain it is having on you.

I'm so glad you had the courage to reach out here.

Some of us are hanging out at Saturday Soiree -- 7th March 2026 . Come and join us! Hopefully you'll feel less alone.

Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for the hugs. Needed and appreciated. I live over an hour away from her. So back and fourth every day is two. Have had great communication from the Drs but things keep going wrong and her release date keeps getting pushed back, she can also be a little difficult so it makes things harder. Itโ€™s compounded by us losing my uncle last year and two of her cousins. They were like our support network and vise versa. So that extra support isnโ€™t there. I donโ€™t have any other family. No siblings and my dad died in 2009. She is under [edited by moderator] care but none of that starts until she gets home. Then thereโ€™s trying to keep her calm and co operative. As I guess youโ€™d know itโ€™s a lot to deal with.

Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here ๐Ÿ™‚

Hey @Lonewolf73 ,

It certainly is a lot for you. You mentioned you don't have any supports. So does that mean when they return from hospital, you will have to travel there everyday too?

Just a quick note that we've had to remove the name of the care service for anonymity reasons. Hope this is okay. Please let us know if you have any questions about guidelines. You can read them here: https://saneforums.org/t5/help/faqpage/title/community-guidelines

Another thing. To ensure we read your post, feel free to tag us by typing "@" in front of our username so we get a notitication e.g. @tyme

@tyme oh sorry Iโ€™m so new to this didnโ€™t realise everyone could see my reply. Thanks for letting me know.

No worries! We learn as we go ๐Ÿ™‚ @Lonewolf73

Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here ๐Ÿ™‚

@tyme I canโ€™t really stay at hers or bring the dogs with me as I have my own cat at home and heโ€™s a recent rescue. The cat is indoor only. And the dogs are Jack Russells and prone to unaliving other animals. My yard wouldnโ€™t be safe enough for them either as the fences arenโ€™t dog friendly and I live near a busy highway. Iโ€™m hoping itโ€™s only going to be a couple more days. But if itโ€™s any longer they might need to go to a pet care resort or whatever they call them for a few days. I am getting pretty fatigued.

Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi everyone. I havenโ€™t been on a forum for years! I have joined as I need help with a) my anger and owning that, and b) relationship help dealing with anger issues, arguments with a husband who has ADHD and diagnosed depression with DVA.
Im going to look at counselling with Open Arms, it has helped with other issues in the past. Relationships Australia also have courses but he wonโ€™t come with me until Iโ€™ve done some on my own.
Iโ€™m open to any other tips and help. Thanks x

Hi @wavelength42 this forum is completely anonymous, so as long as you don't post anything that identifies you directly you are safe.

And welcome to the forum and thank you for posting.

Do you have any hobbies or pets. We have all different spaces here, where we talk about all different sorts of topics. So if you tell me about some of your interests, maybe I could direct you to a starting place to talk.

Hi Everyone!

I am 32 from Brisbane, Australia.

I am almost 33.
On a side topic: I have Autism and ADHD. Although, I am still sceptical about my recent ADHD diagnosis.
