Air Bed For Home Use:Needing Advice:

My water bed leaked and was damaged so its now been disposed of.I donated most of the good timber but had to throw out the damaged timber responsibly. I thought about those air beds with built in air pump.I need a queen size bed.I looked around online.Prices for them at the moment around $150.I read the reviews too.I'm tempted.

Has anyone used the air beds as a spare bed for guests or even for themselves as a cheaper alternative to used beds and mattresses? In my case it would be a long term use. I could do it the old fashioned way buying a real bed mattress and putting it on the floor.I did tat years ago.Very low bed.

Would appreciate some suggestions.I'm on a limited budget of about $150 plus.I'm still saving up slowly.

when we packed up the house to move I slept on an airmatress for a few weeks... it was comfortable enough... you just have to be careful of sharp objects like rings, earring, watch bands etc doing accidental damage

@Denv12  I tried one years ago. It was comfortable enough, but I don’t know about long term use. Also, like @Lostandalone  sharp objects are tricky.

Have you thought of a Nils loan to get a bed. No interest, and manageable payment plans. It’s specially for low income people. I’ve used it a lot, and found it really good.

Hi @Lostandalone.

Thank you for the tips. I can relate to that.

Hi @Maggie

Thank you for your help.

I heard about that loan.I had started saving money when a local butcher started delivery services earlier this year.I added other foods to my intake so I saved money there to so I use the savings to put toward another bed.I even thought about buying a new mattress and putting it on the floor. The charity shops dont have beds for sale just Salvos have new mattresses.

Thanks again.
