Re: Partner with both MH issues and cancer
Thanks @Former-Member ... most of the short term side effects should resolve in a couple of weeks. Then its a matter of ongoing monitoring for the more serious long term side effects such as heart and lung damage. Unlikely, but I am in the at risk category.
The home your mum is going into sounds ideal. Or at least as ideal as possible, under the circumstances of having to go into care.
Dad has had a couple of 2 week respite stays in the home he wants to go into. Was even offered a permanent room about 3 months ago. But he knocked it back at the time, saying he wasnt ready. He wanted to reach his 88th birthday on 5th Dec and spend Christmas at home, before going in. So now he has to wait for another opportunity.
Emelia 🌷

Re: Partner with both MH issues and cancer
Mr Darcy saw the oncologist today, tumour markers are up, chemo has been stopped.
The focus now will be on palliative care.

Re: Partner with both MH issues and cancer
Had a busy week with extra travel, Mr D had a nerve block done on Friday and we should know in a week or so whether this will be successful at giving him pain relief.
