@Ali11 My primary non -fiction reading revolves around disease ( infectous and environmental) and toxicology. Recent book topics have included poisonous plants, the human history regarding rabies and pathogenic fungi of food crops.I also read a lot about mental illness,history of treatment and such.  

I realise this must sound like really morbid stuff to read, but i just find this stuff interesting.

I also read some  general non fiction material on animals and plants and human history, depending on the topic.

All fascinating topics to read about @Aw84  Have you read many Jared Diamond books? Guns, Germs & Steel being the one that sprang to mind when you mentioned disease
