ADHD BPD C-PTSD
Do I need anymore letters?
Hi! .call me ABC,
I'm 24 years old.
I was just diagnosed with the three little buggers.
I don't want to get into my life story but growing up I had a few child sexaul abuse incidents.
Been homeless
Self harm and attempts.
Now I'm an adult.
I have a 5 year old who I gave to my mum.
I'm learning to live life. But its so hard.
I live in a small town and even sane.org can't help me as my postcode isn't eligible.
I have one psychiatrist, I can see them for free till February. But I have to see them through my mental health nurse practitioner through tele-health.
I have no treatment for any of my conditions.
I cant routine.
I cant function.
And I feel like no matter how far I reach out my hand for help.
People are either half a center metre away or a big bill of money is in the way.
Having theese 3 condition interfere with eachother make it harder to identify and treat. So I feel hopeless at the moment knowing there's not much I can do but just struggle and talk about it.

Re: ADHD BPD C-PTSD
Welcome, @ADHDCPTSDBPD , I'm sorry to hear you are suffering from these 3 conditions 😞 Also that you have been homeless and have suffered CSA 😢
If you want to find a psychologist, then the first step is to visit your GP and ask for a Mental Health Care Plan. This will entitle you to 10 subsidised sessions with a psychologist per year. The only thing is that psychologists are so overwhelmed with demand at the moment that it could take 6 months to get in to see one. But it's a good idea to get on the waiting list now.
You can help this process by googling then ringing round psychologists in your area to ask: are they taking new patients at the moment, what is the wait time for a new patient to start, what are the costs, etc. Then you can take a name to your GP for the Mental Health Care Plan referral.
If there are no psychologists near your small town, there is also these which include telehealth:
Psychology Today Find a Counsellor
Good luck...
An important forum tip is if you type @ and then click on a name in the drop-down box, that person will get a notification and won't miss your reply.
I hope you find the forums supportive...

Re: ADHD BPD C-PTSD
Hey @ADHDCPTSDBPD
That's a lot going on for you. Do you have any supports to help you through this? Maybe try your local Sexual assault service...Sexual assault and rape - helplines, definition, reporting | healthdirect this link has relevant numbers for you. Traumatic events (sane.org) might be helpful too, there are other factsheets available here...Factsheets & Guides (sane.org) these may have useful resources for you aswell.
